Questions women actually ask

Every answer below comes straight from the studio. Booking, lessons, wedding mornings, cameras, and the Academy.

Services & Booking

How much does a makeup appointment cost?

It depends on the service. A photo-ready session, a full bridal party, and a private lesson are all different. Book the service you're interested in and we'll confirm everything by text before your appointment, with zero surprises. All current prices are listed right on our booking page.

How long does an appointment take?

Most makeup applications take about an hour and a half. Bridal, with skin prep and detail work, runs longer, and we'll build your timeline with you. Private Tutorials are a full unhurried session: you leave when you've got it.

Do you come to my location, or do I come to you?

Most appointments happen in our studio. For weddings and special events, ask about on-location service when you send your inquiry. We'll let you know what's possible for your date.

What products do you use?

Professional makeup and skincare lines only, matched to your skin tone and type, and chosen to hold up in desert heat. If you fall in love with something we use on you, just ask and we'll tell you exactly what it was.

Do you do makeup for teens and quinceañeras?

We love them. Quinceañeras are some of our favorite clients of the year. Soft, age-appropriate, and completely customized. Moms are always welcome.

Private Makeup Tutorials

Do I need to buy anything?

Nope. Everything you need for the lesson is already at the studio. If you fall in love with something, we'll tell you exactly what it is. No pressure, ever.

I've never worn much makeup. Is this for me?

Especially for you. Soft, natural, and customized to you is our whole thing.

Is this glam / full coverage?

Only if you want it. Most of our lessons are everyday looks you can do in 15 minutes.

Can I bring a friend? My daughter? My mom?

Our studio time is protected for the women receiving services, so we don't host extra guests. That way the client we're working on gets every bit of our focus. If she's under 18, a parent or guardian is always welcome.

Bridal & Special Occasions

When should I book my wedding makeup?

The moment you have your date. Yuma's event season books out, send your inquiry early and we'll hold your morning.

Should I do a bridal trial?

We highly recommend it. The trial is where we design your exact look, test it on your skin, and write everything down so wedding morning is pure recreation, zero experiments. It's a separate appointment, and it's the moment most brides stop worrying.

Will my makeup last through the whole day?

Through the tears, the hugs, the dancing, and the Yuma heat, yes. Long-wear products and techniques built specifically for weddings and photography.

Can you do my whole bridal party?

Yes. Book out the studio for you and your party. Tell us your headcount in the inquiry and our Bridal Specialist will build the morning timeline with you.

Makeup or hair first?

We coordinate with your hair timeline so everything flows. Generally hair first, makeup after, and you last so you're freshest. Your Bridal Specialist handles the schedule.

Photo-Ready Makeup

What exactly is photo-ready makeup?

Makeup designed for the camera. A level up from everyday, built to last all day and look flawless in photos. Perfect for family shoots, maternity, graduation, headshots & milestone birthdays.

How early before my photoshoot should I book?

Book your makeup and your date as soon as your photographer confirms, and we'll time it so you walk out the door camera-ready, not rushed.

Will it look too heavy in person?

No. That's the skill. Camera-ready means dimension and staying power, not cakey. Soft glam, full glam, or natural: you choose, and we build it for both the lens and the room.

Can you match my whole family for a group shoot?

Yes. Tell us how many faces when you book and we'll schedule everyone back to back so everyone's ready together.

Makeup Artist Academy

How much does the Academy cost?

Tuition is covered one-on-one with every accepted applicant. Class sizes are small and we accept students by fit, so applying is free and there's never any pressure. Apply, and we'll walk you through everything.

Do I need experience to apply?

No. The Academy is built to take beginners to certified professionals in 8 weeks. If you've never held a professional brush, you're exactly who this is for.

What's included?

Eight weeks of hands-on training taught personally by Jackie. Skin care, color matching, contour and artistry, bridal, soft glam, and how to run your beauty business, plus a fully loaded professional kit worth over $1,000.

Do I need a license to do makeup in Arizona?

Arizona doesn't require a cosmetology license for makeup artistry alone, which means your Academy certification and portfolio are what set you apart. We cover the business and legal basics in class.

When does the next class start?

Classes are small with limited seats. Apply now and we'll reach out with the next start date. Application is free and takes a few minutes.
